Sarah Trouslard, PhD, is an educator, musician, and scholar. Born in Paris and raised in Brooklyn, she currently resides in Vermont.

Sarah teaches private piano lessons and music theory. Her music theory courses are designed for adults interested in songwriting, improvising, playing pop songs, and/or analyzing classical music.

Her scholarship in ethnomusicology focuses on France with research interests that include Occitan music, French cultural identity, and post/colonial history.

A classically trained pianist, Sarah also loves to sing and write songs influenced by French chanson, bossa nova, samba and everything else that has sparked her curiosity over the years.
